On September 25, we reached an exciting milestone: the first-ever MACC Hub Conference, hosted by Verture, part of the Hub’s Scotland Spoke. Over 200 people from across research, policy, and practice came together to share ideas, spark collaboration and turn climate adaptation from theory into real, practical action. The Maximising UK Adaptation to Climate Change Hub is advertising for a short-term research contract as part of its Policy Response Unit, that aims to provide the evidence the UK government requires to advance adaptation policy.  

Explore the Climate Change Committee’s call for evidence to support the UK’s fourth Climate Change Risk Assessment (CCRA4), outlining key adaptation priorities, strategic frameworks, and sector-specific actions for building a resilient, well-adapted UK.

This MACC Hub funding call aims to catalyse transformational climate adaptation across the UK by supporting innovative, place-based adaptation projects. To maximise project outputs, the fund is intentionally designed to foster collaboration between businesses, policymakers, local authorities, public bodies, health and care organisations, community groups and NGOs. A strong emphasis is placed on inclusivity and the creation of scalable, practical solutions.
