Research to Practice in Climate Change Adaptation
Date and time
Date: Wednesday 29 April 2026
Time: 13:00 – 17:00PM BST
Location: The Institute of Structural Engineers, 47-58 Bastwick St, London EC1V 3PS
Background
As climate change accelerates, adaptation is becoming a critical focus across sectors. This RMetS National Meeting, in collaboration with the Hazards Forum, will explore the development of climate data leading to implementation by industrial practitioners.
This event provides a valuable opportunity to bring together experts from both industry and academia to exchange insights on the challenges and solutions in climate adaptation. By bridging the gap between scientific research and practical implementation, the meeting will highlight how cutting-edge modelling, data, and physical mitigation strategies inform effective adaptation.
Alongside thought-provoking presentations and discussions, the event will provide excellent networking opportunities, allowing attendees to connect with researchers and industry professionals working in climate adaptation.
Join us for this insightful meeting, where researchers and practitioners will share knowledge, explore challenges, and discuss how scientific, data-centric tools can drive effective adaptation strategies.
