Date and Time

Date: Feb 27, 2026
Time: 8.30AM – 5PM
Location: In-person, London City Hall

Overview

The London Climate Ready Partnership (LCRP) Forum returns this February, in collaboration with the Maximising UK’s Adaptation to Climate Change (MACC) Hub, to focus on turning insight on heat risk into practical action for London. The Forum comes at a strategic moment: LCRP leads the London Heat Risk Sub-Group, the Greater London Authority (GLA) is developing London’s first Heat Risk Plan, and ongoing systems mapping and sector identification work is underway to address heat risk.

What to expect

The Forum combines short plenary sessions with interactive workshops, designed to explore what heat risk means for your role and identify actions you can take now. Opening reflections will be provided by:

Workshops

Morning (all attendees):

  • Leveraging planning for urban adaptation: Using the MACC Hub’s visioning and planning tool to support heat adaptation (led by Climate Northern Ireland)

Afternoon (choose one):

  • Systems thinking for climate adaptation – a practical taster
Using systems thinking in practice to enable stakeholder engagement, assessment and delivery. Led by University of GlasgowVerture, & Lucidity Services Ltd
  • From insight to action: decision-focused heat resilience for London
How to use existing knowledge on interdependencies and cascading risks to change how decisions are made and who is involved. Led by the London Climate Ready Partnership
  • Values-based communication: experiences of heat risk
How to communicate about heat risk in ways that resonate with communities and stakeholders. Led by Climate Outreach

Outcomes

The focus of the Forum is timely and strategically aligned with:

  • The ongoing work of the MACC Hub, in which the LCRP is a partner.
  • LCRP’s role as convenor of the London Heat Risk Sub-Group
  • The GLA’s development of London’s first Heat Risk Plan
  • Ongoing systems mapping and sector identification work for heat risk in London

Insights from the Forum will feed into a London Heat Memo, capturing key workshop outcomes and recommendations. This memo will be shared with the London Heat Risk Sub-Group and the GLA team developing the Heat Risk Plan, helping guide future action across the city.
