This toolkit is designed to help communities in Pembrokeshire build resilience to the increased risks from climate change, such as extreme weather, sea level rise and risk of wildfire. The aim is to provide independent, reliable information on the risks, provide support, and to help to bring together councillors, residents, experts and statutory authorities to work collaboratively to co-create bespoke, place-based climate adaptation plans.

Role of the toolkit

This toolkit aims to provide local people and communities with clear and accessible information on climate adaptation. It serves several key purposes: 

  • Empower with knowledge: Clear independent information on climate change and its impacts on Pembrokeshire. 
  • Blueprints for change: Providing tools, templates, and guidance for communities to develop their own tailored adaptation plans.
  • Network for action: A directory of local and national resources to help communities access the support they need to implement adaptation plans.
