Scotland’s Flood Resilience Conference 2025

Date and Time

Tue, 28 Jan 2025 09:30 – Wed, 29 Jan 2025 16:30 GMT

About

Scotland’s climate has already changed and will continue to do so. Increasing rainfall intensity, storm severity and rising sea levels mean it will not be possible to protect all communities from every flood that we experience. Scotland must become more resilient to flooding to help communities, organisations and places thrive in the changing climate. This will require a paradigm shift in how we deal with floods, building resilience at all scales from individual properties right up to catchment scale. It will require engagement of a broad range of delivery partners with communities at the heart of the process. And it will require more innovative and diverse flood management actions.

The theme this year is Taking actions to implement the Flood Resilience Strategy.

Aim

Join us at the 2025 Scottish Flood Resilience Conference, when Scotland’s first Flood Resilience Strategy will have been published. Get involved in exploring the ways the whole flood resilience community can take action to implement the Strategy’s intentions. We have a mix of plenary presentations, breakout sessions, panel discussions and Q&As, with something to appeal to all audiences.
