Natural Resources Wales
About
Natural Resources Wales (NRW) is the national body responsible for managing Wales’s natural resources so that they are sustainably maintained, enhanced and used for the benefit of people, nature and the economy. Established in 2013, NRW brings together environmental regulation, conservation, forestry, flood risk management and land stewardship in a single organisation.
NRW works to protect and improve Wales’s environment, supporting resilient ecosystems, tackling climate change, reducing flood and pollution risks, and enabling sustainable use of land, water and seas. By working closely with communities, businesses, government and partners, Natural Resources Wales plays a key role in helping Wales adapt to environmental change while safeguarding natural resources for current and future generations.
